Cambridge Analytica has been drawn to a number of problems since Facebook suspended the analytics firm that backed Donald Trump in his presidential campaign over violation of privacy policies. Rather than resolving the issue, Facebook suspended the whistleblower's Facebook account who happens to be the person to expose Cambridge Analytica's unlawful activities.

Christopher Wylie (@chrisinsilico) tweeted about disabling his Facebook account yesterday. But that was not enough by the social media giant. He was locked off from other Facebook properties like Whatsapp and Instagram.

In an interview with The Guardian, Wylie revealed himself to be the brains behind Cambridge Analytica’s voter-targeting tool.

Facebook released an official statement which says,“ Mr. Wylie has refused to cooperate with us until we lift the suspension on his account. Given he said he ‘exploited Facebook to harvest millions of people’s profiles,’ we cannot do this at this time.”
