Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery - Why is it so boring?

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery was globally launched yesterday by Jam City. Even though the news of the game filled every Harry Potter fan with joy, the game felt boring.

At last, you can play Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery!
Jam City, the developer of the game, managed to create a lot of hype with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. But just like many other over-hyped games, this also turned out to be a boring journey.

The game started off with a cutscene showing Minerva McGonagall sitting in her office, while a voiceover read out a Hogwarts acceptance letter. After that, the player is found in Diagon Alley, with a boy named Rowan who then guides the player through purchasing books and wand.

The game was not open-world and made the player to do certain objectives on the marked areas so as to proceed to the next chapter.

As for the graphics, the game needs some improvement in it. Now it's not a resource hungry game, so why such uncool graphics, Jam City?

I really expected the game to be interesting. But what I was faced to was just a tap adventure. Almost everything functional is done using a tap. Conversations? Check. Charms class? It's just filled with taps here and there.

Then there's this annoying energy system. For everything you do inside the game, energy is consumed. While the energy refills after some time, the game makes you purchase extra energy and move forward in the game.

The dialogues and the reactions of the characters in the game are really bad. Sometimes you might even laugh at the reactions the NPCs do.

Even though Harry Potter would eagerly try this free game out, I'd recommend you to play only if you are trying to get bored! But that does not mean that the game is not good. It is good if you're willing to shell out some money or have patience during the energy refill process.
