Anthem will not have loot boxes, EA confirms

The upcoming game Anthem will not have loot boxes, EA confirmed at EA Play Event at E3.

It was confirmed that there will be optional purchases included, albeit no loot boxes.

The game’s creators said that players can look forward to optional purchases that include cosmetics and “vanity items”.

When you’re purchasing these items, you’ll always know exactly what you’re getting from them; no loot box features involved. 

The devs also stressed that the items you get from these purchases won’t affect gameplay in any way, so there are no pay-to-win options.

Anthem is set to release on February 22, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. But you can access Anthem a little earlier too.
