Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age will release for the PS4 and PC via Steam this September, publisher Square Enix has announced. The highly anticipated RPG will come to North America and Europe on September 4.

The game has seen its success in Japan last year where the game won a perfect score from Japanese gaming mag Famitsu and also bagged the Platinum Prize at PlayStation Japan's end-of-year awards.

Square Enix has also confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS version that launched in Japan won’t be released for the western countries while the previously promised Switch version of the game will be available later.

The 3DS version would support top-down 2D graphics and the PS4 and PC versions will feature the gorgeous world in 3D.

Also, western releases will get major improvements in the game like a first-person camera mode and an overhauled user interface. It will feature full English-language voice-over localization which is something new in this franchise.
