Mavericks is a 400-player battle-royale style shooter

There's a new game in the battle-royale genre and looks like it is going to revolutionise the genre. Mavericks: Proving Grounds has the biggest server for a battle-royale game.

The new battle-royale shooter from Automaton Games is putting you in a vast land of serene landscape with at most 1000 players, the basic mode being with 400 players. The number of players even in the Basic mode is more than what we get in major battle-royale games like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite.

According to VG247, traversing in the game world will leave environmental clues that other players can use to track you down. The demo was offered at GDC 2018.

The trailer may not describe what Mavericks is capable of, but we do get to know that the game will have beautiful landscapes. Mavericks may come up at E3. So keep an eye on this blog for latest updates.
