EA released a teaser trailer of a few seconds on Twitter and YouTube. The teaser is very short, but it still confirms that Battlefield 5 will put you in World War 2.
The teaser trailer was released both on YouTube and Twitter through the official Battlefield account. The only difference between the two trailers is that the latter one includes an Xbox logo at the start. This also confirms that team Xbox has marketing rights for this year's Battlefield.Shhh... not long now.— V (@Battlefield) May 21, 2018
Tune in for the #Battlefield V reveal on May 23: https://t.co/kpTnOyxuxr pic.twitter.com/zzIwGi0Y1w
The few seconds of footage is likely taken from a Conquest round, as represented by the different capture points at the top. The time period is clearly WW2 as one can see the flag designs of British Union Jack and German Iron Cross on the top of the video.
While playing the video as slow as possible, I could find other HUD elements that also appear in the video, which have an updated health bar in the middle, a simpler squad menu layout, and something that looks like a minimalist weapon HUD on the bottom right.
The Battlefield 5 reveal event takes place on Wednesday, May 23 so you may want to check in here more often.
